Alstom first announced on 17 February 2020 that it intended to acquire Bombardier Transportation and had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bombardier Inc. and Caisse de dépôt du Québec to that effect.
Rail technology leader Bombardier Transportation has received a Letter of Award from India’s National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) to build and deliver regional commuter and intracity transit trains with comprehensive maintenance services for the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut semi-high-speed rail corridor under Phase 1 of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS).
6 May 2020 – Alstom and SMRT Trains, with support from the Land Transport Authority (LTA), have signed an agreement that will ensure the continued reliability and availability of the driverless train control system installed by Alstom on the larger Circle Line (CCL) network. This long-term services support (LTSS) agreement is the first of its kind for a Singapore Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line, with a contract length of 16 years which also includes performance guarantees for the entire contracted term2.
Another win for Stadler in Poland: MPK Kraków, the city of Cracow’s public transport provider, has ordered additional low-floor trams from Stadler. For that purpose, a framework agreement for the delivery of up to 60 new trams has been signed. Combined with the previous order from January 2018, Stadler will now deliver a total of up to 110 vehicles to Cracow.
Today, global mobility solution provider Bombardier Transportation transferred the first two of 20 BOMBARDIER FLEXITY trams from Vienna to Karlsruhe’s public transport company Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (AVG).
