The 50 employees working at the New Castle site, which currently services the first-generation Acela fleet, will transfer to the new facility in Newark. Alstom intends to hire an additional 50 personnel to manage the expanded operational scope. The company is coordinating with New Castle County officials and the Delaware Prosperity Partnership to execute the project.

Maintenance Framework and Fleet Logistics
The TSSSAs are delivered through Alstom’s FlexCare Perform maintenance portfolio. These agreements are structured to keep passenger fleets in near-continuous service by ensuring rapid availability of spare parts and maintenance workflows. Logistical transit to and from the site will be facilitated by a rail spur on the property, allowing trains easy-on and easy-off access from the broader network throughout the Northeastern United States.
