LATEST LIGHT RAIL TRAIN FOR MEXICO CITY ROLLED OFF THE PRODUCTION LINE AT CRRC

The first articulated light rail train developed by CRRC for Mexico City Electric Transportation Authority (STE) rolled off the production line at CRRC Zhuzhou. This is the first time that CRRC-made light rail trains serve Mexico City.

To adapt to the characteristics and conditions of the winding routes in the urban area and satisfy the travelling needs of a large number of passengers, the project adopts the articulated bogie light rail train that has complete intellectual property rights. With the innovative modular design, the train is capable of flexible formation. Meanwhile, it is equipped with advanced systems and barrier-free facilities, able to provide passengers with a safe and comfortable riding experience.

Furthermore, to ensure the operating safety on complex routes, for the most critical braking function, the train boasts triple “insurance” of the electrical braking system, air braking system and magnetic rail braking system, providing maximum braking safety on the complex routes.

Moving forward, CRRC will continue to serve the Mexican market with new green, intelligent rail transit equipment and systematic, full lifecycle solutions, and continuously provide the “system+” services to satisfy the increasing travel needs of local residents.
