ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) sets digital standards in timber transport with the Österreichische Bundesforste (German for “Austrian Federal Forests”).

Two of three ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) warehouse locations in Austria are now climate-neutral - namely Lenzing and Vienna Freudenau. RCG is therefore offsetting unavoidable emissions.

This means that all TransFER connections operated by RCG using in-house traction to, from and through the Czech Republic will be powered exclusively by traction current from renewable energy sources.

ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) will once again be present at the “Made in Steel” trade fair in Milan from 5 to 7 October with its own exhibition booth.

Starting September 10, our TransFER Villach–Italy gets extended by the new Villach–Trieste connection. For the first time, we can now offer direct wagonload transports via the new railway siding to and from the multifunctional terminal at the Port of Trieste as needed.

RCG is presenting its extensive services in the fields of waste management and logistics at the " Österreichischer Gemeindetag 2021" (Austrian Municipal Day 2021). As the waste transports by rail are to be further expanded.

As part of the "Connecting Europe Express" initiative, ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) was at the Brenner Pass stop. Alongside ÖBB CEO Andreas Matthä, well-known politicians were also present. The aim: to put rail in the spotlight.
